Early morning you will be picked up from your Hotel or Entebbe Airport in Kampala and our tour guide will transfer you to South Western Uganda to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park which hosts almost half of the World’s endangered Mountain Gorillas. En route to the Park, you will have a stopover at Mpambire drum village, the Equator and Kayabwe where water experiments will be done to prove to you that you are in both atmospheres (Southern and Northern Hemisphere). Proceed and have a lunch stopover in Mbarara town or Ryantonde and proceed to Queen, reach in the evening with a short game drive before you check inn your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Enganzi Lodge, Mweya Safari Lodge and Park View Safari Lodge.
This morning at around 6:00am you will go for an early morning game drive to Kasenyi plains that support large concentrations of wildlife especially lion. The areas around the seven crater lakes in the northern hills are very scenic but wildlife viewing is erratic. The Mweya peninsula is usually good to see the large mammals, bushbuck, waterbuck, and elephant, as well as the unusual giant forest hog. Leopard may also be seen in this area. Lunch in the Park and proceed for afternoon unique boat cruise which takes you three hours enjoying, this is indeed a unique experience where you get a chance to see other animals and birds you might have not seen in the game drive including fishing activity along the Kazinga Chanel Cruise. An excursion to Kyambura gorge nearby to track the fast moving and elusive chimpanzee’s one of man's closest relations. The chimp population is quite mobile and viewing is unpredictable. The walk in this "lost world" is nevertheless enchanting. Alternatively go for a nature walk in Maramagambo Forest. This forest harbors some unusual species - potto, giant forest hog, pygmy antelope and giant elephant shrew. In the afternoon a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which is especially rewarding for viewing a variety of animals, especially hippo, buffalo, elephant and a vast array of birds. Return to the lodge for lunch and proceed to Ishasha Sector for dinner and overnight stay at Ishasha Jungle Lodge, Ishasha Wilderness Camp and At the river Camp.
After your early breakfast start your game drive straight a way from your lodge, this is another unique experience to see more many animals including giant elephants and rare tree climbing lions hanging in gig trees. After a successful game drive return to the lodge for lunch, refresh and relax. Dinner and overnight stay at Ishasha Jungle Lodge, Ishasha Wilderness Camp and At the river Camp.
This morning you will drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park passing via Kihihi, Kanyantorogo Botota with a view of beautiful banana plantations, Beautiful Sceneries and locals. Check in for lunch, after lunch proceed for Batwa experience including the local community walk.
Bwindi forest was a home to an indigenous people—the Batwa pygmies.
As the original dwellers of this ancient jungle, the Batwa were known as “The Keepers of the Forest.” The history of these small-statured people is long and rich. The Batwa survived by hunting small game using arrows or nets and gathering plants and fruit in the rain forest and the lineage is estimated to be a continuous 50,000 years. Early in the morning after breakfast and a briefing from the UWA officials, set off for the gorilla tracking. This is a once life time experience and unforgettable adventure. The ranger guides will lead you into the thick forest and start your search for the endangered Mountain Gorillas. You will move up and down the rugged terrain until you finally meet these harmonious creatures that will entertain you with performances for about 1 hour. The activity can take 2-7 hours since the gorillas move up and down. This is an awesome and exciting moment. En-route there other primates such as shy chimpanzees and monkeys, variety of birds, bush pigs, bush pigs, butterflies and so on. Return to your lodge, refresh and enjoy the Lodge Facilities. Early morning embark to your vehicle return to Kampala have a short city tour around Kampala and visit places like National Theatre and the African Craft Village for shopping Souvenirs, Namugongo martyrs shrine, Uganda museum you may not do all the activities in the city but preferable the main ones. Later you will be transferred to Entebbe International Airport to catch up your departure flight back home.
