Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive south toward Amboseli National Park. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or camp. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive where you will spot elephants, zebras, lions, giraffes, and many other species spread across the open plains. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Full-Day Amboseli Safari
Spend the entire day exploring Amboseli with morning and afternoon game drives. Begin early to catch clear morning views of Mount Kilimanjaro and witness wildlife gathering at the marshes. Amboseli is famous for close-up elephant encounters and rich birdlife. After a relaxed lunch break, continue the afternoon game drive before returning to your lodge for dinner.
Day 3: Amboseli – Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, depart Amboseli and drive through the Rift Valley towards Lake Naivasha. Arrive at your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic boat ride on the lake where you may spot hippos and a variety of water birds. If interested, visit Crescent Island for a walking safari among giraffes, zebras, and gazelles. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Lake Naivasha – Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving around mid-morning. Proceed on an en-route game drive before checking into your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a full game drive around the lake and surrounding forest where flamingos, rhinos, baboons, giraffes, and buffaloes can be seen. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve
Depart after breakfast and drive to the Masai Mara, arriving in time for lunch. After settling in, head out for an afternoon game drive into the reserve. The Mara is home to lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and many other wildlife species. Return to your camp or lodge for dinner and overnight rest.
Day 6: Full-Day Masai Mara Safari
Spend the day enjoying morning and afternoon game drives across the Mara. Start early to catch predators such as lions and cheetahs at their most active. Explore various regions of the reserve including riverbanks, open plains, and forested sections. You may carry a picnic lunch to spend more time inside the park. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner.
Day 7: More Masai Mara Adventures
Enjoy another day in the Masai Mara, allowing more time to explore the rich wildlife areas. You may revisit favorite spots, track animal movements, or explore new corners of the reserve. Optional activities like visiting a Maasai village or taking a hot-air balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost. Return for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8: Masai Mara – Nairobi Departure
After breakfast, check out and enjoy a final short game drive as you exit the reserve. Drive back to Nairobi with a stop en route for lunch or scenic viewpoints. Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon for airport or hotel drop-off, marking the end of your 8-day Kenya Safari adventure.
