Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve
Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive through the Great Rift Valley toward the Masai Mara. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or camp. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive across the expansive Mara plains where lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes, and many other animals roam freely. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Full-Day Masai Mara Safari
Spend the day exploring the Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. Start early to catch predators at sunrise when they are most active. You may take a picnic lunch to enjoy inside the reserve as you continue exploring riverbanks, open plains, and forested areas rich in wildlife. Return in the evening for dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 3: Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for lunch. Enjoy an afternoon game drive around the lake, known for flamingos, rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, waterbucks, lions, and a variety of bird species. Explore the lakeshore and surrounding woodlands before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, depart for Lake Naivasha, a short drive through the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the lake where you may spot hippos and many water birds. For those interested, visit Crescent Island for a walking safari among giraffes, zebras, impalas, and gazelles. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Lake Naivasha – Amboseli National Park
Depart after breakfast and drive south toward Amboseli National Park. Arrive in time for lunch and take some time to relax before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Amboseli is known for its large elephant herds, beautiful swamps, and open plains with views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Return to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Full-Day Amboseli Safari
Spend the full day exploring Amboseli with morning and afternoon game drives. Begin early to catch clear morning views of Kilimanjaro and spot wildlife at the marshes, including elephants, hippos, buffaloes, hyenas, and numerous bird species. Later in the day, explore the dry lakebed and surrounding plains where cheetahs, lions, and antelopes may be spotted. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: Amboseli – Nairobi Departure
After breakfast, enjoy a final short game drive as you exit Amboseli. Begin the drive back to Nairobi with a stop for lunch or scenic viewpoints along the way. Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon for hotel or airport drop-off, marking the end of your 7-day Masai Mara and Amboseli Safari.
