2 Days Rwanda Gorilla trekking Safari

The 2 Days Rwanda Gorilla trekking safari offers gratifying experiences of visiting Rwanda’s Gorillas in their natural habitat, as well as a city tour of Kigali’s famous points of interest. This trip is suitable for people who want to mark gorilla trekking as a done item on their bucket list.

Day 1: Arrival at the airport

Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by our  tour guide who will take you for a city excursion in and around Kigali. This is to enable you orient yourself with this great country of ‘a thousand hills’. After this excursion, you will proceed to Virunga National Park located in the North of Ruhengeri via undulating and beautiful terraced hills which shows a clear picture of the general landscape and altitude of Rwanda.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and transfer back to Kigali

Have breakfast and transfer to the Kinigi Park headquarters by 7:00am where you will be briefed by park rangers about the rules concerning trekking. After briefing, start off with trekking along the paths in the bamboo forests, it is an amazing activity where it can take between 2 to 6 hours to track the mountain gorillas. When you meet the gorillas face to face you will watch them jumping from branch to branch, feed, play among other things; Only 1 hour is given to trekkers to watch the gentle giants.You will also see buffaloes, monkeys, birds, and elephants through the forests.  Later, transfer back to the lodge for lunch, check out and transfer back to Kigali airport.
